Chapter 6 - The Answers

Rockius braced himself, then moved the gate and walked into the chamber. Cerberus spotted him and was confused, but as his orders were to let no-one through, he attacked Rockius.
Rockius got terrified and began running around the room in terror. Cerberus was chasing him like a lion in a cage. Rockius soon saw the gates on the opposite end of the room and began running for them. But here Cerberus caught up and grabbed him in his mouth. Rockius quickly slid out of his torso armor, leaving it in Cerberus’ mouth and carried on running. He reached the gate and barely squeezed through the gaps between the metal bars.
- “Phew.” He sighed deeply.
After a few deep breaths he continued along a small corridor and finally reached the 3 judges.
- “Greetings weird skeleton-man.” Minos said.
- “Nice to finally see you guys.” Rockius said.
- “I didn’t know we get undead here.” Rhadamanthys commented.
- “Me neither.” Aecus agreed.
- “I wondered why I wasn’t a shade.” Rockius said.
- “Hmm, maybe this is something you should discuss with Hades himself.” Minos suggested.
- “So you guys don’t know either?”
- “No. Never seen a skeleton around here.” Minos admitted, “We only judge shades.”
- “Well how do I get to Hades then?”
- “You’ll need to find his palace, but it’s a difficult place to reach.”
- “Please do tell me.”
- “The only way to get there is to use one of those fountain shrines. However you may get into any of them, but the only way to come out is to activate it.”
- “And how do you do that?”
- “That’s the catch. Only the most almighty ones can do that. There can be only 1 of them active at any one time.”
- “Now that sucks.”
- “Nevertheless go back to the City of Lost Souls. Find a daemon hero and ask him or her to go with you and to activate the fountain of your choice. The ones in Hades palace are the hardest ones to activate.”
- “Thank you very much. I will do that. Now how would I get to the City of Lost Souls?”
- “Through our judgement.” Aecus suddenly said, “I judge you not worthy to go to Elysium, so you can go to City of Lost Souls.”
- “Same with me.” Rhadamanthys said, “You aren’t heroic enough to go to Elysium, but you did manage to get here, so I judge you worthy to go back to the City.”
- “You got all 3 judgements to go to the City.” Minos said.
- “Oh yeah!” Rockius cheered.
Here Minos opened a doorway to the City of Lost Souls. Rockius went in and instantaneously found himself in the City. He was quite awed as the place was actually pretty nice compared to those horrible Dreaded Halls. But he now needed to find some monster hero who will be willing to help him.
